贵阳中医学院于2003年3月经教育部批准成立，是国家指定的硕士和博士研究生院之一。贵阳中医学院研究生院自成立之初，便发挥着自身所长，与医院、科研机构和企业单位建立了紧密的合作关系，通过不断的努力，已在国内外引起越来越多的关注。

贵阳中医学院研究生院注重培养学生的综合素质，除了专业理论课外，还开设了包括心理咨询、求职辅导、英语口语、日语口语等课程。院方还与多家企业建立了科研实习基地， added in extra-curricular activities for students' comprehensive quality edification , such as psychological consultation, job-hunting guidance, English and Japanese conversation classes, which have aroused great attention from students. The faculty also set up research internship bases in many enterprises to provide solid practical training for students. Besides, the faculty actively cooperate with other research institutions at home and abroad to jointly hold international academic conferences, so as to broaden students' horizons and enhance their international competitiveness.

The faculty has made great achievements in scientific research, and its faculty members and students have won more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level prizes.
